Our Educational Mission

SIRANA Global believes that education is the ultimate cycle-breaker for poverty. However, across South Asia, a staggering crisis persists. According to UNICEF research, high out-of-school rates intersect with deep socioeconomic hurdles and “learning poverty,” where children lack basic literacy despite enrollment.

Carrier Rates of Education in Pakistan

According to UNICEF researches

  • About 25.1 million children aged 5–16 are not attending school in Pakistan.
  • The dropout rates increase as students advance, with higher dropout percentages after early years.
  • Out-of-school children represent around 35 % of Pakistan’s 5–16 age group overall.

  • In India about 29 % of children drop out before completing the full cycle of elementary education.
  • In India, around 50 % of adolescents do not complete secondary education.

  • 33–35 million children in Bangladesh experienced education disruptions in 2024 due to extreme weather events

  • Only about 64 % of children complete secondary school, indicating high dropout from primary through higher grades.
  • The dropouts are linked with child marriage and labour disruptions.
